Biography

Aziz Mimoudi is an Assistant Professor at the Institute of Education Sciences (ISE) of Mohammed VI Polytechnic University (UM6P) in Rabat, Morocco, where he coordinates the Technopedagogy & AI Axis. He holds a Ph.D. in Education from the Université de Sherbrooke (2026); his thesis analysed interdisciplinary collaboration in the design of an intelligent tutoring system.

His research concerns the responsible integration of artificial intelligence in education: teacher education, personalised learning with generative AI, and employability. He co-coordinates the Moroccan side of the Erasmus+ VOLCANIC project on computational thinking, inclusion and AI in teacher education, and is co-researcher and co-coordinator of Sustaineur, an AI-assisted platform for designing sustainable business models, developed with the Africa Business School and funded by UM6P and the Fondation OCP. His work relies on mixed methods, competency frameworks and survey-based evaluation.

Before moving into higher education, he taught languages and mathematics in Moroccan public schools for twenty years (1999–2019), including three years at the AEFE’s Campus Victor Hugo in Marrakech. He is a researcher with CRIEVAT at Université Laval and a member of the Practical and Academic Research Committee of CERIC in Canada.
